Biography and Resumes

I've always been interested in art. Whether I'm creating it or looking at it, I am content.

My first stint in college was to obtain a degree in education with a fine arts minor so I could teach fine arts to high school students and hope to inspire them as my high school teacher inspired me. After two years in Augusta, Georgia I just couldn't take it anymore and moved back to Pennsylvania.

During my time in college I did accept a position as a part time Graphic Artist working for Super Coups in Augusta. I loved that job. It was a departure from the fine arts training that I had received, but it was rewarding knowing that my work was going to be seen by over 100,000 homes in the Augusta area... even if they only were coupons!

After my move I had some odd jobs before starting work at a hotel as the Night Auditor. I took a full time job during the day as a Junior Graphic Designer/Stripper for PT Graphics. I loved both jobs, but the hours were kiling me. Knowing that PT Graphics was just a small home town print shop, I knew that there would be little to no room for advancement, so when my hotel offered me a full time job with more pay, I had to take it.

The hospitality industry was good to me. Cheap hotel rooms, vacations, business trips, I loved it all, but something was missing. The stress of being in this industry was too overwhelming, so I decided to return to my roots and get back into Graphic Design. Things had changed in the 10 years that I had been away, so I knew that I would have to return to college.

Returning to college was something that I always wanted to do, but I didn't picture going to school in my 30's with 18 year olds! Let's just say it was interesting! Returning to school and obtaining my degree has truly fulfilled my soul.

I look forward to designing more throughout the years.
